About me

When I begin designing a floral arrangement, I ask myself a question: how would this occur in nature? Nature is balanced, though not always symmetrical. It can be loud and astonishing, or muted and gentle. Nature blends texture and color in sometimes surprising and always inspiring ways. And I believe nature has given us flowers that reflect every individual's personality and tastes.

Whether I'm creating for a large wedding or an intimate dinner party, my arrangements represent my clients and are influenced by the idea that true art is natural. When I meet a wedding couple, I spend time getting to know them so that I can capture the spirit of their relationship in my designs. With weekly accounts, I send flowers that compliment the essence of the business and its decor, whether it be modern and edgy, romantic and vintage, or something in between.

While any room will, of course, look spectacular covered in flowers, I've found that more isn't necessarily better. Sometimes the most visually stunning arrangements simply highlight one or two unique flowers, while interesting greens add texture and contrast. Artistic use of greenery is a trademark of my work. I use unusual containers to hold the flowers, such as mason jars, antique bottles or even shells, to ensure the arrangements fit in perfectly with their settings.

I was trained in sculpture and installation art at Suffolk University's New England School of Art and Design, but for the past 10 years flowers have been my artistic medium. I began my career in the floral design business at one of Boston's premier florists and have been working steadily, translating my passion for flowers into personalized arrangements that complement any environment.
